To further accelerate our strategic expansion across international markets, Bakels Group is seeking an experienced driven Export Manager to join our Export Cluster North team and drive growth across key European markets.

Export cluster North is responsible for export markets within the Bakels Group in the northern hemisphere.

In this role, your primary focus will be on developing and expanding business opportunities and enhancing our market position by strengthening distributor partnerships, developing key accounts, and delivering innovative solutions to customers across Europe. You will identify customer needs, apply value-based selling techniques, and position tailored functional solutions that create measurable value, while effectively supporting the positioning of Bakels' products and services.

The successful candidate has the opportunity to be located at the Bakels Sweden AB premises in Gothenburg, Sweden as a significant share of their export business is supplied by Bakels Sweden. A fully remote working arrangement is also possible for a candidate, preferably located in some other Nordic country. The company does not apply any official on-site/remote work policy.

Role Description

The position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, export-focused environment with visible commercial responsibility and international exposure.

As Export Manager, you will represent the full Bakels portfolio in the markets assigned to you. While many of the products sold into the region are manufactured in Sweden, you will also be responsible for promoting solutions produced by Bakels companies in the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Belgium. Working closely with colleagues across the Group, you will identify new business opportunities, strengthen relationships with distributors and customers, and drive sustainable growth across the European market.

As the Export Sales Manager Cluster North, you will report directly to the Export Director, Cluster North.

Key responsibilities include:

Achieving sales and margin growth in assigned countries.
Enhancing distributor performance and expanding portfolio penetration.
Identifying and developing strategic key accounts.
Building and converting a robust pipeline of business opportunities.
Providing hands-on technical support and application-based selling.
Leading forecasting, budgeting, CRM discipline, and performance tracking.
Collaborating with R&D, technical, marketing, supply chain, and NPD teams to deliver value-adding solutions

Your qualifications

Several years of successful international sales, export management, or business development experience, ideally in the food, bakery ingredients, or related B2B sectors.
Proven track record of working through distributors and managing key accounts across multiple countries.
Experience in technical sales, application support, and working with product development/NPD teams.
Fluent English, both spoken and written; additional European languages are an advantage.
University degree in Business, Food Science, or equivalent professional experience.
Strong analytical and commercial skills, with the ability to identify opportunities and deliver results.
Ability to build relationships across different cultures and collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Structured, self-driven, and able to manage parallel activities across multiple markets.
